Submitting website maintenance requests to us is simple!

1. On the Order Now page, you will be asked to list the web page address (or "URL" as us techies like to call it). Just copy it from your web browser and paste it into the form. If it is a maintenance request that needs to be done on all pages, then just put the address of any page there.
   
2. Next, you can assign a number of tasks to be completed on that page. List each task separately so that we can simply check them off as we complete them for you. If it's a change that affects all pages, be sure to explain that to us.
   
3. When you are done with one page, add another page and tasks to be done on that page as well.
4. Once you are done adding pages and tasks, click on the "Get Quote / Check Out" button.

Get a Quote or Fast Track?

You will be given a choice to either get a quote for your work or you can "Fast Track" your order if you want the work done immediately. Going the "Fast Track" route also bumps your order up in the queue / to the front of the line.

Quote - We will first get you a quote for the work you need done. You will hear back from us within 12-24 hours and then you can decide if you want the work done or not. Also at that time, you can decide if you want to have your order fast tracked to the top of the queue or done in normal time, which is also very quick.

Fast Track - You will authorize a certain amount of time. If the work you need done falls within the time you have authorized, then we go ahead and get it done. Any remaining time will be banked in your account for future use. If the work takes more time than what you've authorized, we will need to first get back to you with a quote to complete the work. So make sure you authorize enough time if you want the work done right away.

Payment

You will next be asked for payment when you get your quote back or if you are Fast Tracking your order.

What are Maintenance Blocks and What is MaintenanceBlocks.com?

Great question! A Maintenance Block is a half hour of our time. Most of the simplest updates can be done in about 20-30 minutes with the checking and testing that we do. So with just 1 Maintenance Block, you may be able to get several tasks done on several pages if they are quick updates. Often, people will group several requests together and use fewer blocks versus submitting each request separately on different days.

What is a Task?

A task is everything from changing text, to working with images to doing PHP programming. Send it over to us and we'll tell you what we can do. We promise to not quote something we think we cannot do for you.

What You Get

When we do website maintenance work for you, you get complete service the same way we would do it for our own website. This includes:

• Storing a backup of old files
• Resize images correctly so they load fast
  
• Run spell check
• View the HTML source code to make sure it is coded correctly
• Keep a log of all the work that was done so that there’s a history of work done to your website
• Test the changes in different web browsers like: Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox, Safari
• Test the change on different computer operating systems like: Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS X
  
• Have the work checked by a Tester. Having someone else test the work (no matter how small the updates) ensures that the task was understood and that the work was done correctly.
• Provide a complete report of the work being done with URLs for each item.
